I just picked one up last night and so far it’s a pretty decent device.

- Love the screen size, it’s hard to look at the iPhone 3GS or any other phone after being exposed to the EVO
- Screen quality is beautiful, iPhone doesn’t even compare
- Notifications are amazingly efficient and unobtrusive
- I am loving the keyboard. I’ve read that some people hate it, but it’s so damn easy to type on this thing
- Speed! Speed! Speed! Lightning quick and very responsive
- I had a Touch Pro 2 and have been a big fan of HTC Sense
- Multitasking out of the box!
- Best phone camera I’ve seen so far
- Battery life (based on 1 night of use) is pretty decent. I bought the phone which had half a charge at 8PM. Played with it till 1 until the battery warning came out. I used the WiFI tethering for 20 minutes, did a lot of web surfing and downloading, played music, and used just about every feature. But we’ll see how it fares after a full charge and full day of use…
- Android is much more fun to use. iPhone OS 3.1.3 is getting old and lacks true customization even with Jailbreak
- Reliable Sprint Network
Dislikes
- No FULL Exchange Support, doesn’t Sync MS Exchange Folders without 3rd Party App! BIGGEST GRIPE!
- Clunky e-mail interface. Sorry, iPhone handles e-mail much better
- Apps are still growing and getting better everyday, still not at the level of iPhone yet. Missing quite a few apps I heavily use on iPhone such as Crunchy Roll, Stream to Me, and Fuze Meeting
- Apps and OS are much more refined on the iPhone
- iPhone still feels smother to use, but I believe a Froyo update will fix a lot of these things
These are my impressions so far! I will try out the EVO for 30 days, but will most likely get the iPhone 4 as well to compare.
